Getting started

This Bible study guide has been created for the youth group of The Well Shrewsbury Church. The topic on The Life of Jesus has been chosen by the youth and is facilitated by the youth leader.

The guide flips the traditional model. Rather than starting with doctrine and working towards application, each lesson begins with a real question from everyday life, then unpacks the biblical truth that answers it.

Each lesson is structured as follows:

  • Opening Question — Start here and don't overthink it. Just answer honestly as in a real life situation.
  • Core Truth — The central idea of the lesson in one bold statement.
  • Main Content — The biblical teaching that answers the opening question.
  • Group Discussion — The group discussion question, designed to be discussed together and drive real application.
  • Truth Card — One Core Truth and one Action Point to take away from the lesson.
  • Additional References — (Expandable) Scripture references and further reflections.
